A successful career in the wardrobe industry requires a wide variety of skills, including research,
drawing, pattern drafting, draping, stitching and application of decorative trims and edging.
I have developed each of these skills by creating dozens of fantasy, historical and modern costumes.
In addition, I spent a four-month co-op term at Young People's Theatre in Toronto, and gained
valuable experience in a professional wardrobe environment. I learned industrial machine sewing,
costume maintenance and pattern drafting from industry professionals. This industry experience,
in addition to my sewing skills, will allow me to contribute positively within any wardrobe setting.
